The Resource Center

...has successfully been moved to its new home. Be watching the newsletter for more details about reshelving our resources and for open dates. In the meantime, if you need access to the Resource Center, feel free to contact me.

The Resource Center is Moving!

If anyone is available THIS SATURDAY, January 29th to help pack books in the resource center currently located in Rex & Connie's back yard, we would sure appreciate it! We'll be meeting around 9am & hope to be done before lunch. In case we're not done, we suggest volunteers bring a sack lunch or snacks. We do not want to be a burden to Rex & Connie.

The Resouce Center is tentatively scheduled to be moved on Monday, January 31st to our rental property in West Lincoln. Please pray that the weather cooperates. We need dry ground! :-)

Merry Christmas!!

I can't believe the year is almost gone, and that means the school year (for most of us) is nearly half over! WOW!

I hope that all of you are looking forward to our annual COOKIE SWAP to be held Monday night, December 6th. I'm really excited to try the recipe I decided to share this year. (Praying it turns out as well as it looked in the picture!) Please check your newsletter for details. Our annual Christmas party is coming up next Friday, December 17th.

We are asking EACH FAMILY to bring ONE NEW, UNWRAPPED TOY to be given to a needy child. The toys will be delivered to Brookhaven Outreach Ministries. They will pass the toys on to children in OUR COMMUNITY that otherwise might not have received any thing this Christmas.

I'm really excited to pass on information from Mississippi Home Educators Association. There is a FILM FESTIVAL coming soon & of course, our annual homeschool conference in the spring. More information can be found here.

Also, please be sure to check out the important information at http://www.parentalrights.org/. Jeff & I signed the petition the first time we saw it. It's THAT important!

Saturday, 9/11--Fall Round-Up--Our annual "cookout" to kick off the new school year. Bring a side, chips or dessert along with a drink to share. 4pm at Southway BC.

Friday, 9/24--Pioneer Days--First field trip of the new school year! Pack a picnic lunch & join us at historic Jefferson College. Over 20 demonstrators will be showing us how things were done in pioneer times. Check newsletter for more details!
